She held guest lectureships at PUCRS University in Porto Alegre, Brazil and at the University Hospital in Aachen, Germany.<br \/>She advises different associations and governmental institutions regarding quality related topics, patient experience and risk management. She consulted the Turkish Ministry of Health by developing a guideline on quality assurance in international patient management.<br \/>Dr. Mika is the Vice Chairwoman of the Diplomatic Council Healthcare Forum and has been a judge for the IMTJ Awards since 2013. In 2017, Dr. Mika was awarded the Dr. Sanjiv Malik Lifetime Award.<br \/>Since January 2021 Dr. Mika has been a member of the Executive Committee of the European Fertility Society (EFS) and also chairs the society\u2019s Certification Committee.
